I have questions!
We date our congregation's anniversary from the time our first church building was dedicated to the service of the Triune God. Our first pastor was installed earlier in the year.
Our congregation grew from thirteen to forty-eight voting members.
We built the first school on the site where the older church building currently stands. Pastors taught the classes in the early years of our congregation.
The worship services in those days were conducted in German. However, in honor of our 25th anniversary, our second (evening) service was conducted in English!
By this time, the congregation had grown to 420 with seventy-two voting members.
Sixteen years after the congregation purchased the property, we built the church at the corner of Nash and Embarrass Streets. Our school was moved to the rear of the church
Our school (at the rear of the church) had become to small to hold all of the pupils! Our congregation dedicated the new building, and a second permanent teacher was added to the teaching staff.
With this addition, indoor plumbing was installed in our school building. we also called a third permanent teacher.
At this time, the congregation numbered 572 souls and 135 families.
The congregation numbered 893 souls and 686 communicants.
The congregation dedicated their new fym/multi-purpose room!
A four-classroom addition had been dedicated in 1980. By 1985, the school had 124 students.
Preschool opened to 4-year-olds and soon expanded to include 3-year old children.
Our team of volunteers quickly found that parents welcomed our service!
Thanks to a generous donation of land, we were able to construct a new worship facility!
In the middle of a worldwide pandemic, Bethlehem celebrated 150 years of God's grace!
